Dave McCulloch Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 I've just ordered one of these (used to be called Toad Powerkey) to fit along with a keyless ignition setup. One question for those who've fitted these though - what did you do with the yellow wire which is supposed to go to the door courtesy light switch? I believe its purpose is to trigger the immobiliser to start looking for the transponsder when you get into the car. Thanks Dave
The Pikey Posted February 20, 2011 Posted February 20, 2011 Hi Dave Do nothing with the yellow wire, just tape it out the way. Make sure the blue pair does not see any voltage at all or it won't work. Lets say for arguments sake that you cut the 0v feed to a bulb, you could find that because it sees the 12v through the bulb the imobiliser won't work. But if it was cutting the 0v of the diode protected starter relay for instance it would work The white pair must see 12v when the engine is running so perfect for a fuel pump cut. Jason
