StuC Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Hi all Does anyone have copies/originals of the build manual (or any other relevant docs) for a 1996 Supersport 1600 K-series? I've asked Darren at Caterham, but they don't keep copies now. I'd be very keen to get my hands on any sort of copy / photocopy / pdf file... I haven't got anything apart from the owner's manual at the moment, and I want to start a restoration project this winter. Cheers Stu Edited by - StuC on 18 Aug 2010 12:09:29
Fishy Dave Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Same for me please, the exact same year and model. David Smitheram, Wiltshire (South) Joint AR, 07718 368173. Used to be a 1400, now 1600 supersport race car
StuC Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 Hi Dave I'll share copies with you if I get my hands on one. CU Stu
myothercarsa2cv Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I have one for a K-series, but not sure if it's that old as mine was a new build (they didn't have a manual for a K in a metric chassis so I had both K and Sigma to hand). I'll try to remember to bring it in to work and scan it, then host it on my website. John _________________________ myothercarsa2cv Bugsy: '82 2cv6 😬 Talloulah '08 1.6K Classic
Area Representative gileshudson Posted August 18, 2010 Area Representative Posted August 18, 2010 Stu and Dave (and John, if you want to save having to scan yours), I have a PDF of the " ASSEMBLY GUIDE - DE DION CHASSIS FITTED WITH ROVER K-SERIES VARIANTS" here at work on my PC. BM me your e-mail addresses and I'll fling it over. It's nice and high-res, albeit 14.4MB in size. Cheers, Giles -----Beryl the Peril (HPC)
Mankee Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I've also got the 14-MB assembly guide if anyone needs it, amongst my folder of useful Caterham/K-series documents.
myothercarsa2cv Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 If you could bung it over, I'll host it on my website to save emailing it around. You may want to split it in half to mail though, and I'll probably reduce the size a bit. YWHMIAM. John _________________________ myothercarsa2cv Bugsy: '82 2cv6 😬 Talloulah '08 1.6K Classic
Area Representative gileshudson Posted August 18, 2010 Area Representative Posted August 18, 2010 Split into two and sent in two parts. Please advise when arrives Giles -----Beryl the Peril (HPC)

Fishy Dave Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I have just noticed in another thread that Mick Day has hosted a K series build manual HERE David Smitheram, Wiltshire (South) Joint AR, 07718 368173. Used to be a 1400, now 1600 supersport race car
StuC Posted August 19, 2010 Author Posted August 19, 2010 Ta very much... especially to Giles who just sent me a copy by email. Thanks everyone ! ATB Stu
Steve Campbell Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 I think I've got the originals from a 1997 K series 1.6 supersport kicking around if they are any use for this endeavour ? Build Manual and the owners guide. I got them with my last car when I purchased from Caterham South in 2000. Steve Campbell Orange R400 Duratec
StuC Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 Hi Steve I've got electronic copies of the manuals now, but if you're looking to sell the paper build manual, I'd be very glad to buy it off you. It would certainly save me a fortune in printer ink / paper! Cheers Stu
