At long last it looks as though I could be getting car back soon...

Engine finished, needs Gary to collect it and put it back in.

Hopefully by this weekend, then some heavy driving to get run-in finished.

 

Key question being a C2 virgin, what wheel size and tyre choice/size is the consensus?

Currently sitting on 15 inch, but have a set of 13 inch available.

 

And, when I've got it finished can I play in C1 just to warm up?????

For the last few years, most class 2 wins have been taken with 195/45-15 Stunner Scudo's.

What engine spec are you running, and what rubber do you currently have fitted to the 15's & 13's ?

 

I'm limited on tyre choice as i've only got 13" rim's and can't justify 15's to SWMBO at the moment, so i'm running on Yokohama A539's.

I know that was one of the Class 1 choices, I just wondered if the extra power introduced a different flavour.

I don't actually know what is on the 15's as I haven't seen the car since December, and only owned it for 4 weeks before that....... (Don't Ask)

 

The engine is a DVA ported, plus Verniers 1600k Supersport. I've no idea what sort of power output that will be

Edited to add The 13's have a Toyo tyre and I can't remember which one, but last year I was on 539's as well.....Neil kept trying to get me to go to Stunners, and now it looks as though I will

A standard 1600 supersport K should have around 135BHP, so deffinatley a Class 2 both from the supersported angle and power. how much DVA has managed to squeeze out ontop of that is anyone's guess.

Regret No Chris,

I haven't got car back yet and don't know when....but I have also been forced to attend a birthday party on the night before, so I may spectate later in the day.

 

My first competitive outing is planned to be Anglesey as I am on holiday for the other events
