RogueVector Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Hi Just doing the radiator section of a new build SV. The radiator comes with 8 spacers.I have fitted these either side ofthe rubber radiator bobbins so 1 between the rad and the bobbin and the other between the bobbin and the SV rad bracket - foreach of the 4 corners? The manual doesnt mention these spacers but it feels right to me - can anyone confirm pls?
Stationary M25 Traveller Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 My 2002 SV rad doesn't have any spacers.
jeffi Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Hi - Mine came with 8 thick washers. Although not mentioned in the manual, I fitted these either side of the bobbins for completeness, but I don't think there are any critical stand-off distances here. I guess they help to sturdy the bobbins. Jeff
RogueVector Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks folks. I'll tighten them up now then. Just now need to figure out the myriad of hoses. If anyone has any decent pictures of a 125 SV with heater all hosed up....
MBB Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Rang up Caterham about these - they are only needed for clearance to the front ARB to the fan. Since I didn't have any problems in that regard (>1cm gap as is) I didnt bother fitting them. Mark PS see flicker links below for my pics (not saying I've done the best job though) Roadsport 125 SV build started Photos on flickr Build Diary
