Simon.H Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Well I was aware of the quality of AVO dampers when I fitted mine (second hand, about 5k miles on them) but so far haven't had any problems. I've done about 2k miles on them but now the rear left is much softer than the rear right. It's not very scientific, granted, but if I bounce on the rear corners it's quite noticeable. I have had to set the rear left to full hard and the rear right to about half to get them somewhere near even. Quite disappointed to be honest. Is it worth getting the rears serviced/repaired or should I just replace them? Can't quite afford Nitrons right now either Simon niknak.org
7 wonders of the world Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Give the guys at AVO a call they gave me an excellecent service when I had a similar query one mine - couldn't fault them, hey came back complete with a dyno print of before and after Too young to be old !
tiddy1 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 My first set lasted 1500 miles before the seals went and they leaked everywhere they were repaired by AVO Simon
Simon.H Posted August 15, 2010 Author Posted August 15, 2010 Thanks for the votes of confidence for the AVO service department. Will try and get in touch during the week Simon niknak.org
