I tried EBC Green stuff a few years ago.

 

I didn't like them at all!

 

Standard disks and Mintex M1144 pads work very well.

I agree that EBC Green Stuff pads are pap, borne from the Max Power generation. The discs are OK. Can be a bit hard on pads though.

For what it is worth, I did some back to back testing a few years ago between those EBC rotors and standard rotors using three different types of pad, Green Stuff, M1144 and M1166. The only difference I could find between the EBC rotors and the standard was they cost a lot more for no apparent performance gain.

I think we have a comprehensive answer!

 

I used EBC discs and pads on a previous car (not a Seven). From my experience I would describe them as 'average' at best - and that's compared to the also 'average' standard set-up.

There have been quality issues with EBC discs, see here

 

Scroll down till you see the Red and Blue text, start from bottom up and the Red text is from the EBC company owner.. impressive customer service... 😳
