Speedo bulb gone?

Hi,

The bulb has gone in my speedo, can any of you advise; can you replace just the bulb or do you need to replace the whole unit? I have removed the unit but don't want to start pulling it apart fully if I'm going to make a mess of it.

I don't often use the car in the dark and with the light evenings so no rush to change but it is a bit of niggling issue.

no need to replace the whole unit, I have replaced mine 99 W reg roadsport, remove the round rubber cap on the rear, within the unit you will see a small square lamp holder to remove it just rotate it till the ears meet the gaps in the PC board and it will pull straight out, halfords do sell the replacement bulbs, the first time I did it I removed the speedo but I now find it is easy enough to do with the speedo in place
