Front shocker bushes ( HELP )

Need some help here. I have bought new front shocks from AVO and they have huge bushes top and bottom. Spoke to AVO and they say that the standard fitment for Caterham is 1/2". My upper and lower mounting bolts are 7.75mm. Have I got some wierd suspension. The Bilsteins currently fitted do seem to have an additional sleeve in the mounting. These wont come out of the billys and not sure they would fit the AVO's anyway. Any ideas.

you would normally use the sleeve that you commented on as being stuck in your billies.

 

new sleeves are available from Caterham spares for a few pence.

 

use plenty of copperslip and buy some new lower bolts whilst your at it, and lube them up with copperslip too
