O/T HELP! Water leak on 1.4 Duratec Fiesta Engine

Hi, I have just got back from towing SWMBO in her 1.4 Fiesta with a Duratec engine. It left here stranded having dumped all of its water on the road.

I checked the Oil level and it seems ok and there is no water in the oil.

I filled it with water and started it up.

 

It started ok and the engine runs smoothly.

 

After a minute or so it started to leak water from somwhere at the front of the engine.

 

I am thinking it is not the head gasket or I should have lost oil and it probably would not run so smoothly.

 

The problem is that with all of the bits of plastic in the front of the engine bay it is difficult to see exactly wher ethe leak is coming from.

 

Has any one any experience out there

Confirmed this morning by freindly local mechanic.

Problem is France is now on August shutdown so will have to wait to get it repaired.

 

Usual bo!!ocks from the local Ford garage, bring it in in 3 weeks and we will diagnose the problem.

Is thee not a friendly local garage who could fix it?

 

Only dead fish go with the flow....!
