read the titans article. Really made me wish i had been there .... but i guess i had only just bought my 7 then and didn't know what the hell was going on.

Is "Mince the Ince" serious. A rematch of class 5 ? What will it be ?

August will see the return of the Vauxhall..... After years of class 5 domination, the vauxhalls would appear to be playing third fiddle to the superK's and Bike cars. Having our star driver sidelined was also a blow (anybody know how Jane Farthing is??).

The return of the Vauxhall. (Of course, we never really left seeing as the outright 7 record is held by a Vauxhall)

anybody know how Jane Farthing is??

Jane is running an 1100cc Force single seater in the Midland/British Hillclimb Championship and also taking in some Sprints in pursuit of some British Women Racing Drivers Club bauble.

Unfortunately she had a bit of a bump at Prescott last Sunday morning, but she's physically fine. I didn't see the car but it sounded non-trivial.

"Mince the Ince" is absolutely serious.

A tactical studay has taken place and you will notice a significant number of double drives at the top of class 5.

Alex, I am worried about DK's chosen vehicle however wink.gif.

For the rematch, my car will be going faster with more appropriate gearing, better traction and a new suspension set up.

Arnie's will be going faster with more appropriate gearing.

Dave Edmand's car will be running in class 5 and going faster with a sorted diff and Dave Kimberley driving.

Richard Ince will be going faster with a Minister R101 evolution of the k-series engine.

Dave Jackson will be driving his car with none of the technical problems that dogged him in May - proven with a win at MIRA

Can't remember what Roger is driving - maybe his own car (?)

Has Jason Krebs entered?

It looks like Dave Jackson and Roger will be contending the class 5 championship (my money is on Dave). The contenders for the top positions on the day all have plenty of proven ability to go fast, but Richard was out in front last time. Will anybody catch himquestion.gif will the Ince be Mincedquestion.gif

I will also be sticking with my little 1600 and 32 R tyres and full road spec for all the club sprints - I'm following the example of F1 teams .......... cost reduction vs performance !!! teeth.gif

and Peter, just think back to how hard you had to try to get that time.... Think hard about the turn in for the first corner blush.gif, the braking for the molehill blush.gif, the braking point for flagpole blush.gif... remember the pressure....the feeling of being on the edge..... just how lucky were you?......confused.gif or was it luck......confused.gif think you can do it again?? confused.gif

and yes, I am very sore with the fact that you pipped me out of the trophies.

After all the nasty postings yesterday let’s get the real discussions going....

Ince is not looking to be Minced! You Vauxhall boys are dreaming if you think you are going to walk away with the cup.

Ince/Krebs and Carmichael in the K's will not be an easy walk over!

My training for Curborough started at the Ring last week. 750+ miles on Le Sept should help sharpen my skills and compare my car with Krebs and Wong who are also on Le Sept and in class 5. The gearing on the car will be better and as Peter has said the R101 spec engine will give me more power.

I know where time was lost and am hoping to be in the 58's. teeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gif

The R101 is a modified Minister R500 engine. Wasted Spark ignition (no distributor), Roller Barrels gas flowed with more porting on the exhaust side. Head skimmed to give more compression. Uses a different camshaft. Red cam cover!

Gives a more driveable engine with more power throughout the rev band.

Speak to Graeme Fuller at Minister for more info

Its the red cam cover that makes the most difference.

Nice to see usual service resumed after yesterdays bollocks.

Arnie.

Nice taping of your head lights. Took a while to notice and work it out.

Yeah right. Caterbusa is a word which springs to mind.......

Don't overheat your tyres Richard!!!!!!

I have several other undisclosed enhancements planned for K2RUM which will give 111mph thru the speed trap!
