I.Mupferit
Lisa, Arnie and many others, too numerous to mention, thanks for arranging THE BEST weekend I've had since owning the 7. The organisation and planning that must have gone in to it was just superb! I loved the opportunity to be a complete lead-footed hooligan in Honfleur last night, there is quite obviously safety in numbers. Good to meet other BlatChatters, old & new, and all things considered Blatman got off quite lightly. If you haven't been yet, book now for next year, it is just the most fun you can have in a 7. Thanks again to all concerned. Brent thumbsup.gif

markrenton
What a great weekend! Driving through France in the blazing sunshine was fantastic - shame we don't get days (or roads!) like that in England. Thanks Lisa, Arnie and everyone else. pinkprincess
But next year can we have it slightly cooler ? This is also the time of year (Tuesday after LM) when talk of upgrades begin - just to keep up with the 7 in front!!! Let's see, £200 on stickier rubber, £1k+ on engine mods...sod it, let's have a new kit!biggrin.gifteeth.gif. (For anyone who thinks this trip is expensive (which it isn't considering the effort put in to it) then wait until you return ...) So a big thanks to everyone involved with equipment, BBQ (cooked to perfection!), admin (LL), luggage (RB) and to all drivers and passengers for being there representing the Club. Now at least I can match up some of these Blatchat names with faces!smile.gif Rid=blue> 9id=red> 9id=green> 2id=orange> Rid=black> Jid=teal> Mid=purple> biggrin.gifthumbsup.gif366id=red> ??? thumbsup.gifbiggrin.gif teeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gif Edited by - Rich Watson on 18 Jun 2002 12:03:

Davey Bee
Brent, some kind French gents decided it would look great on their wall, so that they could remember the day that over 100 Caterhams came to town. I hope they pass it on to their sons so that they don't have to my new one away. Anyway I got lots of help in getting a new one over from Caterham, in fact it was delivered to my tent on Saturday morning. Now thats was I call organisation. agbucks
arnie, lisa and everyone else involved in the trip - brilliant! many thanks for a terrific trip and the great organisation that went into making it a huge success. these events take a great deal of behind the scenes work to pull-off and no doubt you have still much to do upon your return to the uk - not least to think about next years trip! well done and thanks. Hibster.
Just adding my thanks for the organisers and also to the those who camped around the gay zebra Colin & Lee Horwood - thanks for the great cooking, John Stanley & Steve, Martin Bett, Kevin Howell & Cecil, & Steve Williamson Also not forgetting John's butler Scrotum. Scrotum drove the Bentley down to Le Mans to act as an additional support vehicle and although he was rarely seen except behind the scenes his presence was felt, if any of us need a button sewn on, our papers ironed, or a ticket booked at a top Le Mans restaurant or nightclub good old Scrotum was always available (except during a short period when there seemed to be a small miss understanding regarding a bottle or 2 of 1947 La Tour that went missing from the in-tent cellar). In fact it's been suggested that next year Scrotum returns home in the Bentley late on Saturday, only to return in Hornfleur harbour in the Sunseeker on Monday evening. One must never let standards slip, so here's to next year's trip with a fresh supply of fine aged claret. paul.davis
Sandy and I loved the trip - our first time and I have to say it was the best organised event I can ever recall - and the Nuke the Luke Fundraising was amazing!! A great thanks you to Lisa, Arnie and the whole team of dedicated enthusiasts who put the Lotus Seven Club site on pole position in Le Mans!! and a word of thanks for Andy and Jayn who introduced us . Makes a great change from trackdays - expecially the blat out of Honfleur and over the bridge - HOOLIGANS!! but I loved it!! We are hooked! Paul Zeeeeeeetec . . . Andy. N
Thanks to Lisa and Arnie and everyone else involved in organising the trip and making it happen. It was a fantastic trip. All the hard work which went into the trip was clear to see. Although i've done Le Mans many times before this was my first trip with the club. The L7CGB trip is the ONLY way to do it!! I also reckon the total amount raised for NtL is going to be pretty spectacular. Well done to all involved. Andy C7 AJN.
