'Ring 24hrs on Motors TV

A reasonably interesting hour. Gave me an inkling of what actually happened in the rest of the race as all I was looking out for was how the 3 British Caterham teams were doing whilst I was there.

Commentary was simply awful though. It was clear that the guy in the hot seat had done zero research beforehand. According to him, we're all driving "Chaterhams", and he was condracending in the extreme to their efforts, even the Challange Consulting car that came 11' overall. Turnip!!! [W]

It was b****y awful wasn't it, The Caterhams were only shown for a total of about 30 seconds and as you say were referred to as Chaterhams and later on as Carterhums

I had assumed that Chrysler had sponsered the show seeing as 98% was about the Viper!

Not Motors TV regulars are you? Yep, the commentator had done no research - as with all the motorsport he commentates on, he just translates from the original French. Its quite funny sometimes...

And car 30 and 125 did get some footage - I'm sure there were dozens of other cars, which might have been higher placed, got no coverage what so ever.

Has anyone got a list of the cars that the seven's beat. I think it would be nice to shut a few people up when they ask about my 'funny little car'. It would also be great to see exactly how many bigger supposedly better cars that team 125 beat. I would be really p****d of having spent wads on a Porche to be taken by a 1.4. But then again I chose a seven which is always a wiser choice.

Try a visit to the race site www.24h-rennen.de The full finishing list should be there, and hourly results I think. And lots of pictures. If you look REALLY close, in start Norschleife, there's a picture of an Alfa being followed by a Blue BMW and then you can see my front wheel and headlight teeth.gif heading into the carousel. (I took them on the way out, he-he)
