Ninja Boy
Finally, after years of yearning, months of concerted umming and ahhing, and a couple of false starts, I am the proud owner of an 1800 K-Series, in yellowid=yellow> with a green stripeid=green> . teeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gif Pictures can be seen (until they're removedwink.gif) on Millwood's site - top marks to Paul (and, months earlier, Jon) for a great buying experience. BTW, for those of you with bigger pockets and stronger nerves than mine, they've got a rather flash-looking R500 for sale at the moment. Needless to say, I'm grinningteeth.gif like an idiot, in spite of the sleepless nights waiting for the big day on Saturday 15th, when I'll be picking up my new toy. I'm expecting a quote any minute now from Mr Spragg at MSM, but as the last effort (on a 1600K-SS) was an ultra-competitive (for me) £300, I'm not expecting a big shock... Thanks to all who have given advice and encouragement, and apologies to Chris Clarke: I've been tempted over to the dark (cycle-wing) sideeek.gifblush.gif, but at heart I'll always be a bigger fan of flares - the more stylish option for Seveningthumbsup.gifcool.gif, I'm sure all will agreetongue.gifwink.giftongue.gifwink.giftongue.gif. I should be blatting along to the Hants(N) and Berks meeting at the end of the month, so let's hope the weather picks up... Cheers, Mark PS - Does anyone know if Cover Systems are speedy with customers' direct orders for outdoor car covers? Redline say they've got 10-14 day delays at the moment. I'll probably give them a ring, anyway. teeth.gif J777 DMH - Have plate, found car to match... teeth.gif teeth.gif ...S132 CUY arrives in 5 id=red> days teeth.gif
Ninja Boy
Update: Just got my insurance quote from all-round nice bloke Dave, and after some uncertainty over power outputs (car is described as Roadsport, but engine is standard 1.8K) it's £297.60 for 5000 miles p.a. SDP&Commuting (£312 for 7500), underwritten by NIG, including £28.35 UK and European breakdown assistance (roadside/recovery with full re-patriation, through Spectrum/HSBC/AXA), free green card, legal cover, no track days (but so what? EL wanted £430 due to no garage!). For reference: driver is 26, Software Engineer, SP30 08/99 and SP50 09/00, 4 years no-claims bonus mirrored; car is back yard/car-port/locked gates/6'6"-walled (i.e. not quite garaged) in SN1, standard immobiliser, value £14800. I'm one happy chappy teeth.gifteeth.gifteeth.gif - that's not much more than half what I'm paying on my group 6 "Hairdresser's" tin top (0-60 ~11s)eek.gif... The quote's not conditional on my singing the praises of MSM, by the way - I'm just showing that young(ish) 'uns like me can afford to run a 7 cool.gif... (and I'm trying to graduate from Acolyte to Angel, now that I'm an ownerwink.gif) Cheers, Mark teeth.gif J777 DMH - Have plate, found car to match... teeth.gif teeth.gif ...S132 CUY arrives in 5 id=red> days teeth.gif

Doug phillips
I hope you have a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I have had my 7 for about 16 weeks ( a 1.8VVC ex Caterham demo car) and I love it. The main problem I have, is using it without the other half, how’s a marred man to pull birds with the wife in the passenger seat. ??????????? Doug. (God how I love my car ....... and the wife)

KevSull Too
Woohoo, Nice one Mark...('bout bloody timeteeth.gif) Are you coming to the Phoenix on Wednesday? You can tell us all about it. Agree with you about Millwood and Dave at MSM, top guys. People like them make owning a 7 that little bit more enjoyable. Kev.
