B11MOY
I should not have to bring this up again but as nobody seems to have any idea whether Nick or the others in the same boat have had a satisfactory outcome how else do we find out. Who knows what ? Billy Rudd Edited by - B11MOY on 2 Jun 2002 23:23:

I reply to every thread
The Club has not & will not be paid. As has been said many times before the company that owes the money is in liquidation.

mav
Lets not go over old ground again, for the sake of the club / Blatchat etc. If you want more info, have a look in the archives wink.gif
OAP
But did Nick get his car back or did he get paid? Nothing contentious about this question, and it was not previously answered. As I remember, we were promised updates in Low Flying, but either I have missed them or they have not appeared.
paul jacobs
Look guys, I really don't know any more than any of you, but I really do think that we should let sleeping dogs lie. This whole business has got out of hand, as far as I can see, it is nothing to do with anyone except those individuals directly involved. We all know where we stand in connection with this particular company, who are now in liquidation, although it appears that the people involved in running the company in liquidation are also involved with other similar enterprises, this would appear to be completely legal and nothing to do with the club or blatchat or certain individuals who are only being curious. From reading the original thread, it would appear that there is a great deal of serious legal stuff going on, and our committee members have taken on much more than they would have wished in dealing with it. This is not helped by people "rubber necking". Just be patient, if there is anything to know that concerns us, I'm sure we will be told in good time, legal stuff always takes much longer than anticipated to happen. In the meantime lets just be happy that we've got a great club and some good people running it for us, who sometimes just don't get the thanks they deserve. I'm sorry to get serious, but I really do get sick of hearing about this thread from indivuals who are either no more than curious or mischief making, or both. Thats my twopence worth, I'll say no more about it now.

I reply to every thread
& I'm sure that if Nick wanted us to know his business he'd tell us.
Gary G
& I don't want Blatchat shut down as a result of discussion on this topic. I'll have nothing to do at work if this happens. C7 GAR id=red>
Al Crickmore
I certainly wouldn't know what to do with my life if I didn't have BC to check every 60 seconds. I'd have to do some work. That's the stuff nightmares are made of. SL = Heaven teeth.gif
gusto
For what its worth - having been involved in the earlier thread and chatted offline to many of those involved I would now entirely endorse the 'this is not the appropriate forum' line. However, in my personal view, if you see some people operating under the name of Arrowstar it would be entirely legitimate to go and ask them some very detailed questions - on an entirely personal basis - about what exactly they are up to. They may well choose not to answer but that's up to them and, most importantly, it doesn't involve the club or any of its officers. R7 SVN
Old Septimus
Query S. 216 Insolvency Act 1986 - use by director or shadow director of prohibited name - that is a name which is so similar to the name of a liquidated company as to suggest an association with that company. I reply to every thread
Yep - Bang on - but you trying getting the liquidator of the ex Ltd company or the DTI to take any notice. Bear in mind that the new entity is a partnership not a Ltd company.
pablo
dont know anything about Arrowstar so wont get involved other than i actually work for the Insolvency Service in Bristol if anyone is interested or wants an issue highlighting drop me a mail paul.monis@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk
Old Septimus
S.216 applies even if the phoenix operation is a partnership (216(3)©). If anyone has any hard information that directors of the old company are involved in the new business, pass it on to Pablo.
Lawrence_Z
I can confirm as stated by Fred, that "her self" was indeed at Knockhill last weekend, as large as life, smile.gif and that the cars all carried the Arrowstar Racing numberplates in addition to other arrowstar signwriting. I suppose they'll be at Brands July 13-14th question.gif Lawrence
