Help ECU ignition map

Don Cook

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I’m replacing the problematic MBE ECU with another type and at the same time changing from 2D map to 3D with throttle pot. Does anybody have a 3D ignition map for a 2.0L XE on carbs that I can use as a starting point. Or know where I can find one?

Cheers.

From an example emerald map

columns are RPM, rows are increasing load 0-15

12 4 4 4 6 8 11 15 17 20 20 20 20 24 24 23 24 24 24

13 4 4 4 6 8 11 15 17 20 20 20 20 23 23 23 24 24 24

14 4 4 4 6 8 11 15 17 20 20 20 20 23 23 23 24 24 24

15 4 4 4 6 8 11 15 17 20 20 20 20 23 23 23 24 24 24

If you copy and paste to Excel and then use 'text to columns' with a space and tab delimiter it will columnise it for you.

You can ignore the 2nd column. It starts at 200 rpm and 0.00's...

If you cut and paste into Excel it might be ok or else Blatmail me and I can send you this and the MBE standard map.

Don't forget to add lightness :-)
