What's involved in replacing rear light clusters?

I am hoping it's just a matter of unscrewing, unplugging, plug in new and scre into place the new ones?

But is it?

2001 R500, but presumably bog standard.... *confused*

Bear in mind that the loom unplugs the other side of the wheelarch skin, beneath the boot floor and either the individual wires or the aggregated plug (there is more than one type of connection, apparently), has to pass through the side skin to emerge in the wheelarch.

You may be able to reach the connection from under the car, to the right/left of the fuel tank (as you look at the back of the car), if not you'll have to lift the floor of the boot - it's easily accessible from the top, then.
