n james Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 i jacked up the rear end of my caterham the other day, and was surprised to see the springs so loose you could move them up and down nearly 2 inches, is this normal? and would that pass an mot?
Irrelevant Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Well you jacked it up so the spring will go loose as the damper extends . .. It's fine. You can get very soft helper springs that will stop the spring wobbling about if you're worried about it. But unless you're doing Dukes of Hazard style jumps, the dampers will not extend far enough for the spring to go loose.
