As title suggest what fuel consumption figures are Sigma 150 owners achieving? With the original ECU mapping I was getting 36 mpg and now on the third - and what I believe to be - the final map only getting 28 mpg 🙆🏻 *confused*

I have heard mutterings that if the hose on the MAP sensor is not air tight then this is causing to much fuel to be used - I have not tried this fix yet.

Any thoughts and advice welcome.

Its finally finished :-) 3500 miles completed. Back at CC now :-(

Hi you are treading on dangerous ground here with the cross flow lads The Last time I posted any thing like this I got Fuel consumsion is not an issue but when you do 20.000 a year touring England and europe it is I have got a 1800 Zetec in my Caterham on throttle bodys and Emerald ECU. I put it in from new build as when I built it there was a lot of problems with K series over heating and head gasget problems and I wanted ultra reliablity, any way when I took it to Emmerald last year after haveing Ammo port the head and a set of Kent cams. I told Dave Fuel consumsion was an issue and he set it up to get 160 BHP and driving it steady it doe's about 35 MPG but if you start giving it beans 😬 that go's down to about 25 MPG, which I think is very good. When I first had the car I got it maped by a Local w*nk*r who chargeg me £400 and it was terrible about 12 MPG *mad* hope this helps as a guide Regards Paul

I'm getting about 33-34, driving reasonably quickly but not redlining all the time. I had the engine remapped a while ago; before then I was only getting 28-30.

Hi Tim, when you say remapped a while ago, when was that and did CC do it? Wonder if the map has changed again. Redlining - do you know where the red line is on our cars? Without a handbook I feel in the dark a little?

Hows the engine temperature now?

Car was new this year - after running in for 1000 miles I started trying to take it up to 5-6000 rpm and it wouldn't go there. CC remapped it about 6-8 weeks ago and now it's fine. I think I was told when I picked the car up that the redline is about 7200. As far as I know it's electronically limited with a soft cut-out at around 7000, so you don't have to worry about over-revving. Max power is at 6 and max torque something below this, so no need to go much above 6 on the road anyway.

Jury is still out on the overheating... did about 50 miles yesterday without a problem. I still think it's using coolant and am watching it like a hawk!
