New headlights- side light not working

Have just installed some new smaller headlights from SVC.One is working fine ,on the other full and dipped are OK ,but the side light will not work.I have swapped bulbs and they both work in the OK light. Have checked and double checked and treble checked the wiring where they click into the loom and everything is in the correct sequence that is according to the build manual and the diagram I drew on disconnecting them from the old lights.The rear light on the faulty side has also stopped working,I have swapped the bulbs and have ruled them out as both bulbs work in the OK side.I then rewired up the old headlight on the faulty side ,now that side light and back light will not work.

Anybody got any ideas? I am sure I am missing something very obvious but what?

The fuse ? does it have one for each side ?

Fuse...never thought of that, but I think one would cover both sides.

In my 02 car, working down from the top of the fuse box, nos. 2 & 3 are for left and right side/tail lights respectively

I have just changed the fuse and now is all OK.
