apjenkins Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Mike, I have managed to purchase a S/H Brooklands from Ian Keane, but need to source the side mirrors. I would like to use SPA (to match the fitted centre mirror) and at Loton you were giving me your opinion on convex/flat glass, and something about the length of the arms? Would you be so kind as to give me that info again? Regards, @ndrew
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted November 27, 2007 Leadership Team Posted November 27, 2007 Hi Andrew! I use the SPA Formula mirrors - I used to have the flat glass on the side mirrors, but am getting convex for next year for a better field of view. However, the problem that I found (and I believe that this is common) is that the standard stalks are too short and do not look sufficiently above the rear wheel arches. If you call SPA directly, they will do you a longer pair of arms which overcome this problem - I forget the exact additional height but it's something line 1"1/2 and it makes a lot of difference. Regards - Michael.
apjenkins Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Mike, Ta muchley for the info. Will speak to SPA. May even be able to pick them up from thier stand at the Autosport Show in Jan! See you in the New Year, @ndrew
