martin b Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I have JPE "style" gauges on my car and would like to change the dreaded electrical oil/water gauges for a mechanical type. Easy so far but where can I get gauges in this colour 🤔 Caterham parts don't list anything but the car came with a clock in this colour so I guess non standard gauges are/were available as the car is only 7 years old. Tried Redline but no luck so far. Guess I need to know which company made Caterham gauges or whether I can use a third party to respray a standard black gauge, if any such company exists. Any help gratefully received. Martin
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted November 25, 2007 Leadership Team Posted November 25, 2007 Caerbont are the company that will have made your gauges. If you talk to them they may be able to rebuild your gauge to a mechanical spec. Stu. www.superse7ens.co.uk..........the rebuild 😬 Â
martin b Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 Many thanks Stu  Will try in the morning. Martin
Graham King Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Martin, Speedy Cables will spray guages for you to any colour, provide them with a colour you want to match and they do the rest. They priced it for me at £30-40 per guage.  I haven't tried them (yet) but I think others on this forum have used them. Graham. R7 GPK Superlight #85
Andy Best Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Speedy Cables, also known as Green Gauges are both part of Caerbont. They will make dials to match a sample you provide. I've had a new speedo made and they did a good job . I don't know if they do mechanical versions though, if you find they do, I would like some. Let us know how you get on. Andy Edited by - Andy Best on 25 Nov 2007 22:54:19
