Nigel Fox Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Hi Simon 2 x 175 soft 2 x 215 soft 2 x 175 medium 2 x 215 medium Thanks, Nigel.
Graham Perry Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I would imagine the order needs to be timed right. i missed last years bulk buy only to discover that Kumho had run out a few weeks later due to unprecedented demand and I then had to wait until the end of the season before te next batch arrived ☹️
Simon.Rogers1 Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 OK I should be more clear. This is not a Bulk Buy. This is Mel's standard everyday price. All season. As last year. However given the somewhat adhoc delivery schedule from the far east I would suggest we get them sooner rather than later. First come first served. You do not have to post on here. Just send me the cheque asap. I will confirm on here when I receive the cheque. Hope that explains things better.
rgrigsby Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Go on then who's getting some 215 Fronts and 235 Rears..? Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com

Simon.Rogers1 Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 You had a bad day Mr.Teacher Sir Nigel / Paul. Mel has your cheques and tyres will be with you next week.
Nigel Fox Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 Simon, Tyres have arrived safely, thanks to all involved.
Irrelevant Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 Go on then who's getting some 215 Fronts and 235 Rears..? Well the 215s fit on my car using Caterham 8" rims with a 6mm spacer. . . .. Will have to have a think
Simon.Rogers1 Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 They do look the dogs! under those CSR wings eh! 235 Mediums not available until February.
Simon.Rogers1 Posted December 1, 2007 Author Posted December 1, 2007 Actually looking at the inner picture would you not be concerned that the tyre will flex onto the wing stay. The side walls are very stiff though so maybe not ???? Guess you just have to try it.
lotusdave Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 simon i have posted payment 2 175/13 soft 2 215/ 13 soft thanks
Simon.Rogers1 Posted December 15, 2007 Author Posted December 15, 2007 I'll let you know when it arrives. Not sure of Kumho opening over Xmas so do not worry if nothing comes b4.
lotusdave Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 simon hope to meet you at a sprint some time,my works address that tyres are going will be closed from 21 😔th dec, best to leave sending till after the turkey season thanks
rgrigsby Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Just out of interest has anyone actually fitted a set of the larger Kumho's to their car yet on 7.5" and 8.5" rims? just wondering whether it all works as planned? Rob G www.SpeedySeven.com
Nigel Fox Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I am about to order an additional pair or rear wheels. I currently use 7 inch rims with the 215 Khumos. 215mm equates to 8.5 inches. Has anybody any thoughts on the optium rim width? Cost difference is insignificant and I have plenty of room under the wings. Merry Christmas to everybody.
Simon.Rogers1 Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 I ran with 8.5 Nigel but optimum for the tyre is 8. I doubt the contact patch will be any different. Its more to do with the offsets etc widening the track of the car that will influence things. Merry Xmas Oh Yes I received the order and cheques Dave
lotusdave Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 tyres arrived today, thanks simon& thank all your helpers ,dave
Mark Durrant Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Simon I have put a cheque in the post today for a set in medium compound to add to my order for a set in soft compound (still to arrive), 215 front and 235 rears. Thanks Mark D Comp Sec
Dannyboy Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 I'll be ordering a set in the near future.... what widths are we permitted in the regs for class 3?? 😬 Dannyboy
