I would imagine the order needs to be timed right. i missed last years bulk buy only to discover that Kumho had run out a few weeks later due to unprecedented demand and I then had to wait until the end of the season before te next batch arrived ☹️

OK I should be more clear.

 

This is not a Bulk Buy. This is Mel's standard everyday price. All season. As last year.

 

However given the somewhat adhoc delivery schedule from the far east I would suggest we get them sooner rather than later.

 

First come first served. You do not have to post on here. Just send me the cheque asap.

 

I will confirm on here when I receive the cheque.

Well the 215s fit on my car using Caterham 8" rims with a 6mm spacer. . . ..

Actually looking at the inner picture would you not be concerned that the tyre will flex onto the wing stay. The side walls are very stiff though so maybe not ????

 

Guess you just have to try it.

Just out of interest has anyone actually fitted a set of the larger Kumho's to their car yet on 7.5" and 8.5" rims? just wondering whether it all works as planned?

I am about to order an additional pair or rear wheels. I currently use 7 inch rims with the 215 Khumos.

215mm equates to 8.5 inches.

Has anybody any thoughts on the optium rim width? Cost difference is insignificant and I have plenty of room under the wings.

I ran with 8.5 Nigel but optimum for the tyre is 8.

 

I doubt the contact patch will be any different. Its more to do with the offsets etc widening the track of the car that will influence things.
