Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted November 12, 2007 Leadership Team Posted November 12, 2007 My old wooden workbench is falling apart so in preparation for the rebuilding of H5 URF, it's time for a replacement (Tam take note, Christmas is coming soon etc etc... ) Does anyone have any recommendations for where to go. Can be up to 1m45 long, have a sturdy (wooden?) surface to mount a vice etc to. Some storeage underneath would ne nice too. Have looked at Machine Mart & Screw Fix - any recommendations for other places to check? Thanks - Michael (currently sipping a bottle of Chapman's Best from a 50th anniversary glass). Nifty Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Can you not just bodge up repair the existing wooden workbench and put the savings towards an upgrade option 🤔 Keep off the straight and narrow 😬 Edited by - Nifty on 12 Nov 2007 20:16:03
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted November 12, 2007 Author Leadership Team Posted November 12, 2007 Ah, but Nifty - when madam says "What do you want for Christmas" - it often pays to have an answer ready and waiting... Michael.
Area Representative Crudders Posted November 12, 2007 Area Representative Posted November 12, 2007 Michael - if my garage wasn't so full I'd have one of these from Justoffbase. You even get a couple of draws and a pegboard to hang your widgets and whatnots on Sealey do a huge range, and Justoffbase seem to churn them out at good prices. If you don't need a back panel and want to spend some more of Tam's money , this one looks quite nice. Crudders
peterg Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Got mine free at work - height adjustable legs, 2" thick wooden top clad with steel sheet, strong enough to put a truck engine on it without bending amazing what the Army throw out isn't it 😬
