I.Mupferit Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Any recommendations for good quality braided flexible hoses on a dry sump application please and where best to buy them? I don't yet know how long they need to be until the engine is installed together with the oil tank so I'm looking at bespoke rather than off the shelf. DaveK Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Brent Make sure that the tank to pump hose is rated for suction, as some of the cheaper hoses are not rated for suction. When you are ready let me know and i'll be happy to quote for you Dave
I.Mupferit Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 Will do Dave, you've not disappointed me yet. Brent (aka Arfur Nayo) 2.3 DURATEC SV Reassuringly Expensive R 417.39 😬
MikeE Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Brent, Is it a Duratec and Pace external setup? If it is then you're welcome to look at my car to see what hoses are necessary. Oh and yes Think Auto provided mine (well Peter did actually) R400 Duratec Build and Modification Pictures here
I.Mupferit Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 It is certainly a Duratec Mike but not Pace nor Titan or Raceline. Brent (aka Arfur Nayo) 2.3 DURATEC SV Reassuringly Expensive R 417.39 😬
Sheds Moderator Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Brent, in the Battered Box Of Bits I have a fairly shabby DS hose, a bit frayed where it has rubbed on the road. It works though and you are welcome to it for spares, fittings, to use as an interesting lounge ornament, or any other use. PM me if you want it.
I.Mupferit Posted November 9, 2007 Author Posted November 9, 2007 Thanks BOSS, I'll see what I need when the engine and tank are installed. Brent (aka Arfur Nayo) 2.3 DURATEC SV Reassuringly Expensive R 417.39 😬
