LawrenceR Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Strange question I guess but Why would a SLR have a JPE Instruments? Thumbs
Dickie Normuss Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I would guess it was the choice of a previous owner, it wouldn't have been standard fit. I always liked them myself. VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly
Wingnonut Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 My SL had, what were refered to by CC as, JPE dials. They weren't the actual dials used on the JPE (with no numbers just green and red zones) but were luminous yellow. Apparently they were a £230 option when my car was bought ('99). If a car is advertised as having JPE dials I think you will find that this is what they are refering to. When looking for a car and found mine, I at first hated them and nearly didn't by the car because of them. Later I realise how much I liked them and how much clearer they are especially on track (when you only glance) and at night. W.Nut . Rosso Superlight no.087 (no longer)

Wingnonut Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Them's not JPE, them's just yellow Agreed, but Caterham used to refer to them as JPE dials At least they did a couple of years back now I notice they refer to them simply as Luminous Yellow (as per here) W.Nut . LawrenceR Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 Thanks for the answers I had not come across them before but I suppose that is unsurprising considering I am new to all things 7 Thumbs
