irrotational Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 does it run forever? mine continues running after i turn the ignition off - until it runs out of fuel as the fuel pump has turned off! I thought it was TADTS but chris wyles an electric whizz who used to post on here discovered on his car that some small widget somewhere was drawing current which meant some relay or something was staying open when it shouldnt and the car/engine was continuing to be spullied power/spark and run... meanwhile the fuel pump was on a different circuit and shut off properly... apologies if this is too technical for techtalk 😳 --- this is a local sig for local people!
david nelson Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 Ok more info battery 12.5V goes to 14V with engine running. switch off engine running and still 14v. also on the keyless ignition I pulled all the conectors off at the same time and still running. David
w7rren Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Perhaps there is an earth fault, check the earths are as before. Born again sevener 1st time around back in 1991
david nelson Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 All sorted. It was to do with the led for the ignition light and a resistor that was not needed. thanks David
