As part of my chassis strip down I need to decide which parts should be refurbished/replaced. I am obviously having all the bushes renewed, but what about parts like the track rod ends - they are only cheap to replace, but do they play an active part in the suspension or should I jusr regrease and put back?

Thanks,

Michael.

how old are they?

if worn the rear end "clonks"

if the suspensions stripped i'd be inclined to replace- remember how many threads engaged unless someone is changing the set-up for you

Michael,

I would automatically replace the track rod ends as part of the refurb. If the olds are in decent condition then stick then on the parts shelf. You can bet your bottom dollar that if you don't do it now, they will only need doing sooner than you expect next time round!
