Jon.B Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Looked like an R400 or SLR, I think it was X reg. About an hour ago... Lot's of tasty cars out an about. Edited by - jon.b on 21 Oct 2007 16:41:04
Julian Thompson Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 That'd be me then 😬 My pal Paul literally just bought it an hour before and I was driving it home to Cheshire for him!! It's actually K777 ACB - Superlight R! Nice car too, though I got a bit cold by the time we hit Birmingham 😳
Stationary M25 Traveller Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Bruises 'n' all ??!! Pretty colours by now I guess ? ****************** And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking... And racing around to come up behind you again. Seven related photos
Julian Thompson Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Actually I was amazed that it was more comfortable than driving DOWN there in his new Nissan van! Think it might be the amount of support in that area offered by the tillett seat! Still sore though
Jon.B Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 That'd be you then. I thought the X looked a bit odd on the number plate. I was in a black 964RS heading the opposite direction.
Julian Thompson Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Saw you Jon! Actually thought it might be Ant Burgess but then thought "don't be silly there's no way you'd know anyone that far away from home!!" Small world RS sounded excellent as usual!
Jon.B Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Hey, double spotted then! Yes a small world! Was enjoying being out in the RS but that SLR you were driving looked fab! Was that one for sale on Pistonheads very recently?
Julian Thompson Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Yes, it was actually. Nice chap who owned it from new and who had done just 5000 miles in it since build in 2001. Car has basically done little in the last 3 years as he has been building a (very nice!) house. We need to go through it now and change all the fluids, obviously, as well as change a few hoses and things that have not taken well to standing. I have to say that other than the fact that it is still on the disgraceful MEMS Caterham map (which completely spoils the car especially as it is on the PTP bodies) it is a tremendous drive. I think Paul is going to have a great time with it - it's his first 7 and funnily enough he's coming from a 964 himself!!!!! *thumbup*
