paul abrahams Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 What's the best thing to use to stick my clutch pedal rubber on to the metal pedal itself. Mine has recently fell off and now the pedal is far too slippy on these winter mornings 😳
Stationary M25 Traveller Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Contact adhesive like Evo-Stik ? Coat both surfaces and allow to dry, then same again. When almost dry - stick together. Won't be adjustable, so get it right ! ****************** And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking... And racing around to come up behind you again. Seven related photos
Tony Whitley Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Given the struggle I had to get mine on I think contact adhesive might prove a little, er, challenging
alextangent Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 iirc, a missing rubber might be an MOT failure? Alex McDonald A loud 1700 SS
Stationary M25 Traveller Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Surely easy enough to remove the pedal and stick the rubber back in place on the workbench ?? Don't keep calling me Shirley ! ****************** And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking... And racing around to come up behind you again. DaveK Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Why not replace the rubbers with grip tape ? It is still a non slip surface so no mot fail and it gives a better feel to the pedal. You can also put a strip on the bare floor with a heel bar if you really want to be trick . Dave
