oldbutnotslow Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 YBNS new car has a Blydenstein head and just out of interest I have tried to find a web site but have come up dry. The original documentation gives blydenstein.co.uk but that shos only that it has been registered. Does anyone know if they still exist and if so what their web address is and where they are located? oldbutnotslow Posted October 16, 2007 Author Posted October 16, 2007 Yeh I knew that he had retired some years ago and that he passed on in September. Grant Taylor - OBNS Motorsport 😬 1.6K with 183 BHP of Black and 'Stone Chip' excitement. 😬
IKB Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Look at www.waldenengineering.co.uk under Nova catalogue and you will see that this firm specialising in Vauxhall tuning has inherited the Bill Blyd'n technology etc. Problem is they are in Aberdeen...a long way away.
Alba 7 Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Look at www.waldenengineering.co.uk under Nova catalogue Nigel Bridger (Walden Engineering owner) has recently joined forces with another firm. Their new web site is at Clark Motorsport He still does VX stuff and had several 2.0 XEs and 1.4 / 1.6 motors in his workshop last time I was there. They are in Aboyne, 30 miles due West of Aberdeen. Nigel is a really helpful chap and always willing to give advice over the phone. HTH, Nick.
Area Representative Kingsley Young Posted October 17, 2007 Area Representative Posted October 17, 2007 Grant I contacted Blydenstein's last year when I was looking for a rolling road, I remember the number I rang was in Royston. I have looked through Yellow pages but do not seem to be able to find the number. If you contact Peter Baldwin at Wilshers Garage Wimpole (Cambs)01223207226 he may be able to help. Kingsley

Paul White Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 In later years Bill Blydenstein used Ivor Searle in Soham, Cambridgeshire to do his head mods for him to his specifications. I bought my head from them last year, ask for Trevor in Engineering. 2.0l, 8V, Blydenstein,Live Axle
