Mathew Rimmer Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Has anyone got any instructions they can share ? thanks
mav Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Seemed easy and straight forward when I made mine. Use a dremmel with a cuting disc - some prefer the diamond tipped ones. Take your time, and ensure the cut end is clean and free of debris / dirt. Slide the 'nut' onto the pipe and then oush the olive to the end of the pipe. Insert the fitting into the olive and then screw the nut onto the fitting... use of some masking tape near the cut end will help stop the brading from splaying out.
DaveK Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Can i correct mav a bit When you fit the olive ensure it goes between the braid and the teflon liner. You then slide the nut up over the olive which traps the braid. You then hold the nut and screw the fitting into the nut, If you twist the nut then you twist the braid underneath. Dave
mav Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Happy to be corrected Dave - It's a while since I did mine, and couldn't quite remeber what you have told me
