Hi Peebs,

I've ordered a set of these to replace my current 13" CR500 setup. Now, as the profile is slightly different I'm going to have to adjust the ride height.

Two questions

1) What ride height do you run with front and rear, and where is it measured from.

2)I have adjustable billys on my car and with the existing cr500s the front shocks have about 30mm of travel before touching the very tip of the bump stop. With the 888s I'm gonna have to drop this lower. Has anybody had problems with the shocks bottoming out? Do I have to trim down the bump stop? How much travel do you have?

Thanks

Rob

set the front up so that the wishbones are level with the ground

Then measure the clearance from the underside of the engine mount on the chassis sideskin to the floor and then measure from the underside of the sideskin to the floor beneath the leading edge of the rear wing

Adjust the rear platforms untill the rear wing measure ment is 15mm higher than the front engine mount measurement.

All with you in the car *smile*

That should be a pretty good place to start.

In reality tho I would not expect to to have to make any changes to the heights and would suggest you simply put the new wheels and tyres on and try it first *thumbup*

You will most likley find that the only variance is that the rear is slightly higher with the R888's vs CR500's and that the car turns in sharper or that there is a tad more over steer when pushing on - you may prefer this setup *cool*

but dont judge it imediatly as the tyres will have the release compound on them and will need a good 100miles to "bed in" .

Thanks for that *wink*

Next questions are around front camber settings, toe and tyre pressures. With my CR500s I had -2 degrees camber on each front wheel, a mere sniff of toe out and cold temperatures of 17 psi front and 16 psi rear for track use. What would the collective recommend for these settings on 888s for track use?

Thanks
