stack instrument problems r 500 evo

after about 30ish mins driving the stack freezes on what ever setting it happens to be on, and wont work properly again until until the ign been turned off and on again.anyone got any ideas im totally baffled. *confused*while im on the subject what are the two buttons on the left for? i only ever seem to use the two on the right. nick

Can't help with the problem I am afraid. Try talking to Stack - they are very good.

 

The buttons are not always in the same place, but you should have 5. They cover the brightness of the shift lights, a reset button, a maximum value (or lowest if that would be the problem e.g. oil pressure), a program button that you have to hold for 5 seconds, and then lets you set things like the wheel circumference and the button that lets you scroll through the different functions on the display

Happened to look in the stack manual last night and in the trouble shooting section it suggests this is a symptom of electrical interference

hi mike, richard, spoke to stack, they say it sounds like a bad earth,and that the stack should be earthed directly to the battery, hope this helps, nick
