Area Representative Richard Price Posted August 26, 2007 Area Representative Posted August 26, 2007 After my sudden stop against the Recticell barrier at Curborough this morning, a big thank you to Malcolm and Paul, for taping my wing back together. And to especially Dave Morris for the loan of a radius arm from his car, and the assistance fixing the bits back together I guess I'll spend some time over th next few days repairing another wing!
Mr Locust Posted August 26, 2007 Posted August 26, 2007 Funnily enough, although I wasn't there to watch I had wondered which piece of grass would be your exit of choice for this event. I trust the nut behind the wheel was OK. Results anyone? Ian Green and Silver Roadsport 😬
Blokko Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Richard So I’m not the only Mid Staffs L7Club attendee who needed a new DD Tube after a few laps around Curborough If you do end up replacing the tube, make sure you have some DOT 4 to hand… Steve - Orange and Black ex Academy
david nelson Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Richard I was sorry to see you small off. as you were making your way back to the pits I turned to the person next to me and said " He will fit that by the end of lunch and be back sprinting". I am with a little help from some friends you were. hope to see you at Wiscombe David
Mark Durrant Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Richard Hope the repair bill is not too large and I would also run a straight edge along the De Dion ear as they have been known to bend, just dont ask me how I know 😳 Mark D Comp Sec
Area Representative Richard Price Posted August 27, 2007 Author Area Representative Posted August 27, 2007 Ian, I trust the nut behind the wheel was OK. Yes, fine (apart from a stiff neck this morning) Steve, Yes, having checked this morning, I need a DeDion tube (along with a radius arm, fog light, number plate light) David, No, I was never planning on being at Wiscombe (much as I would like to have been ☹️), but I should be at Hethel. Mark, Yes, I've checked the ear this morning, and it looks fine.
GregP Posted August 27, 2007 Posted August 27, 2007 Thanks again for walking the course with us yesterday morning. Sorry to hear the car is a little worse for wear. Hope the neck isn't too bad and that you are both back on track soon. Greg and Kristy Price
