Bending Cycle Wings

Guys, fitted new tyres but they are very close to the cycle wings. I need to try bend out the cycle wing 'bar'

 

Easy to do? I've got around 2mm of clearance.

It can be done but you will need to remove the cycle wing

Bending by brute force?

Yes using a large hammer on the end of the tube to knock it sideways, but be careful
