Optima charger & 12 volt gell battery

Is it ok to use the Optima battery conditioner / charger to re-charge a 12 volt gell battery used for powering up RC model aircraft engines ?

Should be Chris. I checked with the company a couple of weeks ago about using my optima to recharge the car gel battery and was told it was fine. I didn't have any problems
