John Howe Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 ... and not a Bushman from the Kalahari! Having been without a ATV since ours was stolen, we have eventually elected to bite on the bullet and buy a replacment. Since the incedence of farm theft for ATVs is high, we were considering fitting some form of tracker device, that is cost effective and works. It might get the BiB to be a little more active... Any advise, recommendation or observations? JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 230bhp Sausage delivery machine
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 14, 2007 Area Representative Posted August 14, 2007 John I have Tracker on the GJT (it was required on the first insurance) and have kept the car for 9 years now, making it, if not cost effective, at least value for money. (I paid a one-off fee, in the confidence that I intended to keep the car for a long time) Tracker do far less promotion or support than they used to but were helpful, eventually, once I got hold of them. They used to send out a newletter but this has been abandonded (probably by the VCs trying to squeeze every last penny out of the set-up). Whilst there was not a lot to say, it gave the owner confidence that they were still in contact with you. I have yet to make a decision about the 21. Is it such a rare car that this would be unneccesary? Not even sure if the radio signal system or the newer satellite systems are technically superior. I reply to every thread Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 John, these people: http://www.autoleck.co.uk/ sell an effective tracking device. One of my client's obsessive husband had them fit a tracking device secretly to her car. He could check where it was 24 hours a day simply by logging on the web. Uses mobile phone technology I believe. Used a lot for commercial plant

I reply to every thread Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Obviously he didn't tell them why he wanted it fitted - It was just a bit odd when he'd turn up in a pub where she was 80 miles from home "by coincidence"
John Howe Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Thanks Mathew, have sent them an e-mail and will also think about getting Susan car fitted with one JH Deliveries by Saffron, the yellow 230bhp Sausage delivery machine
