lancelot Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Hi, I'm currently have a wanted ad posted for an aeroscreen because I hear this will help performance (1137cc Blackbird), is this the case? Is it a weight thing or a wind resistance thing? Or does it just FEEL faster with the wind in the face? Cheers L
Tony C Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Mostly the reduction in Drag - about 50kg at 100mph (497N / 9.81) BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. BYKer Will Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Definately feels faster. Probably is faster but funny thing is it definatley makes me driver slower most of the time. With a full screen I just go mad a lot of the time, with an aero I feel much more involved with the whole experience as if watching a widesreen full surround sound movie at the odeon compared to on the 26inch telly. It might be I feel more vulnerable to head to stationary object interface but more likely i probably simply don't need to go as fast to get a buzz so i dont. Definately a good upgrade for a sunny day and looks better if I may say so. I particular like the rif one as the kink flicks the bugs above my head.(mostly) If mine hadn't come with one I might have tried one of those small perspex race screens but I dont know if they work or not. puremalt Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Yep, feels faster, but also mine is with Brooklands, about 5 mph faster. Just need more BHP now.... This one goes up to 11
