dickbowyer Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 I am I right that the CC Brooklands aeroscreens and mounting stanchion are only available for S3. Anyone know different? Dick 100 dB Superlight SV Duratec R400 Edited by - dickbowyer on 12 Aug 2007 09:15:07
mav Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Delbert has an abandoned project somewhere for SV brooklands, wiht band. Tony C hasmounted his screens directly to the scuttle / dash tube and has had no problem with them like this, as far as I know, for the last 4? years...
Tony C Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 As mav says. I mounted the brackets (screwed) directly through the scuttle into the chassis tube that passes across the car behind the dash. I can remove the Brooklands from their brackets (leaving the brackets in place) to refit the screen if desired (about one hour). I did that the first winter but haven't bothered since BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. Delbert Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Tis true, in that There is no SV fitting I basically took a band, cut it in half and was then getting a patch welded in to widen the band, The whole lot being black packed. Unfortunatley the welder closed upo shop with my band somewhere behind the locked doors never to be seen again 😔 😔 life is too short to dance with ugly women
