paulyb
I know you're all probably busy getting ready to watch the GP - in fact I'll probably grab some food and join you all in a minute! but just got a slight nupty wiring query. My car is a 2000MY SLR. I'm just putting the engine back in and in the process going from single coil to twin coil. I'm aware of the wiring for the twin coil, but since I no longer have the original single, I've got no reference to that. I've got the plug on the engine loom which I am assuming used to be for the single coil, but the wires aren't the colours I was expecting so just wanted confirmation. Can anyone with similar single coil set up confirm the plug for this has a black wire and a green/black wire. I'm assuming then that I can connect these to the twin coil and run a third wire from the relevant plug on the Emerald? Many thanks in advance - just turned the engine over and got oil pressure. This is the last phase before I can try and run it and start playing again 😬 Edited for typo! Edited by - paulyb on 22 Jul 2007 12:53:
Nifty
I have a PDF of the EU3 twin coil engine loom and the EU2 RX00 loom. If it'll help send me a Blatmail and I'll forward it on to you. Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
Nifty
The my R400 engine coil lead is red and blue. Th green/black wire on my set up goes to the MAP sensor (or AAP to be strictly correct). Keep off the straight and narrow 😬 Edited by - Nifty on 22 Jul 2007 13:41:
