Ian R

Recommended Posts

Morning....

Any body used Simpsons Exhausts near Heathrow for any work?

Just contemplating having a complete 4-2-1 and 7" can made to go with the new 220BHP fettling of late before the RR session next month.

Cheers

The Westfield club were having a bulk buy from them a few months ago, so you could try asking over there... Prices even in the bulkbuy were higher than Powerspeed though.

BTW please give generously to Bundle's Big Charity Walk for Asthma research here Ta.

Cheers

Don't bother with them . . good welding, but everything else is awful. Know alls who don't listen to your spec and just do it their way. You may be lucky and get what you wanted. You may be unlucky and get their interpretation of what you wanted - which won't be what you wanted.

Email via profile if you want a full explanation of why not to take your car anywhere near them.

Powerspeed are a far better company to deal with and miles cheaper.

They do a lovely bit of welding. In fact a work of art.

Its such a shame the guy is a complete tosser *mad*

The phrase............. I would not piss no him if he was on fire seems quite apt.

Mail me if you want more details *wavey*

I had a chat with them at the autosport show. I had had some work done by Good Fabrications in Long Crendon nr Thame and the chap said "i use to work there, we are uch better than them" he then started being deflamitory about them so i walked away.

ps Good Fabrication are very good but it will cost losts.

I have now had two silencers from Simpsons, on different cars. I have been pleased with the end result in both cases. They are a bit more expensive but in both cases for me they adapted existing pipework and 4:1 collectors to get the silencer exactly how and where I wanted it. Everyone who has seen the end result has said it looks good and they have both worked well so far as I can tell.

They are also very close to where I work so its been easy for me, they let me watch most of the final fabrication as well.

I will probably go back next spring to get my primaries changed to a 4:2:1 system.

There was a recent Westfield bulk buy and one last year as well.

If there were enough people interested I am sure they would do one for Caterhams, there was another Caterham there when I was there.
