Neil MH
Owner says its one of only 2 ever built (they were made in Bournemouth). Good original looking replica of a Lotus 7 - "pre-lit style". Nice couple who have only had it a short while - on their way from London to Eastbourne - via Rykas cafe near Dorking, where we bumped into them (not literally). Accompanied by usual cross-flow noises.
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted July 14, 2007 Area Representative Share Posted July 14, 2007 Wow - now there's a name from the past! My brother ordered one of these copies back in 1987 for about £5-6k and the car was built up. Excellent build and a very good copy of a Caterham. However, he was about a week from receiving it (final finishing touches) when the Caterham legal notification arrived and Tony (builder's name I think) had to have the car destroyed to prevent expensive legal action ☹️ They cited copyright infringement so Tony went off to build GT40 replica's from memory 😬 My brother got all his money back and bought a Caterham instead... Nick The BEC has gone - now onto an R400!!
Neil MH
Thanks - interesting. It was a very good copy - not surprising they stopped it. Neil

Neil MH
Its theirs. They told me they were recommended to 7 Indulgence who looked the car over and resolved a few issues that existed. They mentioned to me that they were now on their web site - I was meaning to look some time - I have now! Neil
