Yoko A048 fitment

I have a spare set of 6 inch rims. Can I fit a 205/60/13 for the rears? I have been told that 185 is recommended and that 205s are too wide. I'll be using them mostly for street but also some trackday duty when not on slicks. Any advice on compounds?

I have 205/60/13 on 6" rims on the rear of my car with no problems, as do many others. The only changes I've made is to move the anti-roll bar bottom mounts to the inside rather than the outside of the radius arm mounts (overhead AR bar). Medium compound works for me for both track & road. However when I next need tyres I'll probably check out the Toyo R888.

I run 205 60 13s front and rear on 6 inch rims. medium on the back, soft on the front, albeit with 240+bhp Vx. Grips like a goodun. Rears wearing faster than fronts in competition. Like Mick, I plan to try Toyo 888 next time around with SG compound all round but these will die pretty fast on the road.

I've seen all of the positive comments on the Toyo's. The R888s have just arrived in the US and not in 13. It's hard enough finding the Yokos! Thanks again.
