One Short Tim
According to Haynes the 2 l XE engine on fuel injection has a coding plug, 95 RON and 98 RON on the other side. Mine has a coding plug but it says A on one side and B on the other. Does A relate to 95 RON or 98 RON. 🤔
Dickie Normuss
Mine is set so the A is facing the front of the car, it's set for 98 Â VX HPC - Loud and proud here Watch out, whatever hits the fan will not be distributed evenly
One Short Tim
Mine was also A facing front and ran fine with 95. It also ran fine with 98, how do you know A is for 98 🤔
Dickie Normuss
Mine too runs with 95 or 98 on that setting but is noticeably better on 98. I was told that A = 98 by an experienced mechanic with a vauxhall 7 and tintop.
