McBreadhead
Was opting for a Cometic head gasket as advised on BC but Burton said cylinder head surface requires fine polish and for my rev limit of 7250 rpm they remain pretty confident a Competition Ajusa item would more than suffice. It's also half the price of the Cometic, and also less the extra cost of having the head polished to 50micron finish. Can anyone explain the merits of paying the extra for the Cometic and whether it's a 'must have' for my Stage 4 xflow 1760cc engine? Or will the Ajusa do the job. Burton seem to have no problems with them. I've also had to go for the 87.5mm size rather than 84mm as cylinder bores measure 85mm. Is this OK? DaveMorris
Adjusa will do the job in my opinion. As to size - not a clue. (at least I'm honest ) Dave

DaveMorris
Nick, Vx is fine, though not getting much use t.b.h. Heard of Cougar - was one of the options I looked at for one of my engine rebuilds. There are people closer to you IIRC Could always give you the name of my current builder - though not sure if that is a good thing. Dave.
