lardy40
I Upgraded my girling g14 calipers with mintex 1144 pads did all the bedding in procedure as recommended by Mintex then nearly "T" boned a police van several weeks later! The brakes are still not what i would have exspected, new disks were fitted at same time as pads and de-greased, system brake fluid was replaced and bled, thinking of fitting bigger master cyclinder or going whole hog and fitting 4 pots at the frount, anybody replaced master cyclinder for a larger diameter and found a great improvment? I think rallydesigns sell wilwood 4 pots for a Triumph spit hub anybody gone down this route? or any thoughts? i can lock up the frounts but it takes a hell of a push and the braking is not as progressive as i would like. regards Mark
Roadsport06
I have standard brakes with Mintex 1144 and they are fine, it sounds like something is wrong somewhere (air in the system?) BRG and Yellow nose VU06 XZX
Dartmoor7
Lardy, Why not come to the local meet and take a ride with someone for comparison? http://groups.yahoo.com/group/lotus7swarea
Colin Mill
A bigger bore master cylinder, if used with the same pedal linkage, will give you a lower pressure in the brake system for a given pedal force. If you are struggling with too high a pedal force you would be better off with the original master cylinder. Colin
