Rubber /Silicone blanking caps

I'm looking to blank off the bypass outlet on their K series thermostat housing as I'm going the PRRT route.

Has anyone found a good way of capping the outlet? I'd really like to do it with a 16-18mm rubber or silicone cap of some sort and jubilee-clip it, what with the housing being plastic and all.

I'm having no luck sourcing one though - Maplins, RS, Farnell, Samco, etc have all drawn a blank. The only places I've found that seem to do the right kind of thing will only sell in bulk.

The only other option I can see is to clamp a bit of hose on and plug that, but that's going to need me to source a plug and doesn't seem that elegant (it'd also eat into the valuable space around my Pace pump connections.

Any advice greatfully received..

Moss Plastics cam up trumps *thumbup* a couple of samples ordered from their website turned up next day. The result is a much more neatly blanked-off thermostat bypass outlet and a capped water-rail.

These caps I chose are rated to 180 deg C, so I'm hoping they should be okay for the cooling system.

Indeed *smile*

I decided to try a couple of Flexi Caps (1 of which i used on my water rail) and an EDPM High Temperature Eazi Cap for my thermostat housing in the end.

They both sealed well and I'm pretty confident I've got a leak-proof solution. My only concern is how much pressure they're under. I'd ideally like to reinforce the 'face' of the caps a little bit more and err on the side of caution. I don't know what kind of pressure the cooling system usually operates under.. *confused*
