Bricol
Anyone know ? I have one that is apparently 8kg - on a set of scales known to be dodgy. And a much lightened one that is 5kg. Which will be for sale once I know how heavy it is. Bri
Revin Kevin
Bri, I'm happy to be corrected but I don't think there is such a thing as a standard weight. From the standard range of escorts etc different models/capacities had different weight flywheels. Caterham flywheels are modified and I've seen at least two different ones off caterhams. 12lbs from memory is about right for a standard lightened cast iron flywheel thats been machined to be as light as possible without being dangerous. Bricol
oooh - that sounds about right then . . . I have one that is obviously standard Ford - heavy. And one that isn't - standard or heavy, with a ring gear held on with half n half grubscrews. No good for a plodding idle in a trials car, so it'll be up for sale soon. Ta!
