suspension adjustment

I have a 2001 roadsport with supersport suspension and have swapped 13" wheels for 14".To maintain similar ground clearance have lowered front bilstiens with no problem.rear end is not responding even with double the amount of adjustment. I drove the car(which felt fine) in the hope that it might settle, without improvement. The car has an adjustable rear anti-roll bar which I have not meddled with.Could this affect the rears resistance to adjustment? Has anyone other suggestions?

Hmm weird that *confused*.......if you wind the platforms down 10mm then the ride height should drop 10mm (at the rear anyway as the springs are vertical) If this isn't happening then something is obviously stopping it...you dont have bump stops fitted by any chance? Can you get the rear to compress with a couple of people pushing down on it?

Are you sure when you make the adjustment that the threaded sleeve is not rotating with the platform (hence no adjustment). Also, the front adjustment is multiplied by the action ratio of 1.69:1, so you will need more adjustment at the rear to achieve the same movement as smaller adjustments at the front.

That aside, maintaining the same ground clearance means your suspension settings will be radically different and could end up a long way from the advice of:... level front lower wishbones and XX mm rake front to back (where XX is a number that might be 35 and brook no dissenting voice depending on your religious persuasion).

martin/peter,thanks for your advice.O/side rear was turning the whole thing .rear is now about 10mm. higher than originally.will run it at that and keep an eye on tyre wear.

Peter, your comment on the effect on other suspension settings was interesting./ thought there might be a slight increase in negative camber only./ will see how it drives.
