Phil
I have a fuel pressure regulator by Webcon from Burton Power for my Zetec. No instructions, no markings, no idea. In the catalogue the unit looks the correct way up as you would imagine but there is a diagram with it upside down? There is a side entry pipe and one underneath, which is in and which is out? Any pictures please? X/FLOW 1700 DD 1990 ROAD USE ONLY..SO FAR

oilyhands
AFAI remember the Webcon ones have the side entrance at the end of the fuel rail and the exist back to the tank is at the bottom. At least the one I have on my se7en is that way. Oily

Phil
Thank you, I am very busy at work and find it hard sometimes to phone Burton power. The point is there should be some instructions or markings on the device and I should not then have to phone the supplier again. Thanks for all the help, the regulator is in place after trying to fit the bracket in a sensible position which did not happen, I have now removed the bracket and the regulator now fits directly onto the coil pack bracket, just the carbs to do. Graham Perry
Hold it, you just said "carbs". I think Oily and I may have assumed you had injection ? In which case you may have the wrong type of pressure regulator as I don't recall seeing a carb pressure regulator with a pipe off of the bottom
Phil
The lad at Burton Power was very helpfull and he asked if it was carbs or injection plus the BHP requirement so I believe it is the correct one. Phil
The power of Blat Chat Took your advice and phoned Burton Power, spoke to Allen, completely the wrong regulator, the problem know is the usual of paying out more money, returning the other, getting a refund and waiting until Tuesday for the new one. Allen then asked what fuel pump I was running then advised me that it would not be good enough for the application, I hope this is correct as it was supplied by the man himself, Chris at Raceline. I.Mupferit
It will definitely be good enough for your application. Raceline have sold more Zetec to 7 installations than probably anybody else in this country so trust their advice/recommendation and you will be absolutely fine. What they don't know about these applications frankly ain't worth knowing. Burtons have already given you the wrong advice once so who is to say that Allen is correct this time? Graham Perry
Phil, Pleased that we could be of help The next thing you need to do is to ensure that the regulator is adjusted correctly to the right fuel pressure. There is plenty in the archive about this including a suitable pressure setting. Although its not especially urgent you should do it to ensure the long term health of the carbs. It can be done at a rolling road session if you are planning one.
